My life in the Sonoran desert inspires me every day! I love living in the southwest—it is truly like nowhere else. The unusual plants, animals and birds make this a true place of beauty and learning. I see the tiny critters as interesting as the dramatic ‘big sky’ sunsets and I feel that I have become a part of this magical place. While there are many beautiful southwestern motifs, mine are more specific and surprising, focusing on the life that is all around me in this often inhospitable place.

I have always had a love of designs, wallpaper and fabric specifically. Once while living in an antique home scraping the walls, I came upon a Victorian wallpaper layer that was faded but stunning and that really got my heart racing. Japanese prints, William Morris, Klimt and southwestern murals are all a part of my journey to creating my own designs. Surface design is a perfect medium for me and I absolutely love it, learning and growing as I go.
